1. Crane, Pool and Schmidt.. a little Question | 04/24/2008 1:16pm

Hey i have a quesion about the firms name, Crane Pool and Schmidt.. umm okay i no there are four partners, Shirly, Denny, Paul and Brad, so i have to ask who Pool is, i know thats the last name but Shirly SCHMIDT. Denny CRANE Brad CHASE and Paul LEWISTION.. no Pool.. where does that come in exactly.. if anyone could answer that, that would be great.. Thank You =)

Actually, there are quite a few partners. There are 3 named partners, Denny Crane, Edwin Poole, and Shirly Schmidt. Edwin Poole appeared briefly in seasons 1-2.(He's the guy who came to work without his pants or underwear in the first episode)

I think he is. He just isn't a named partner. They got the 3 original named partners and then I think lower partners(Paul, Karl, ex-Brad, Barry, etc.).

yes he is sorry, excuse me, i am having a breakdown, i know paul is a partner, for some reason i got alan in my head when i read it, dunno why.
What an idiot!!
They offered paul the chance to have his name on the wall when he wanted to quit to be with his daughter i think.

Ah, his name wouldn't have fit with the rest anyway. I liked Paul and all but all he ever seemed to do is bark orders, lol. Least the other partners pull their own weight occasionally.

Dennys been pulling weight for a while me thinks, but i have to say that i have never laughed so hard on a TV show as i have with BL. If the dont do a 5th season then they are all morons at ABC.
We need to get Alan to do a rant at them, get them to listen to why he and denny need to stay on air.

lol, I'd be interested in hearing Alan tell ABC why they should keep a low rated show on the air, as if this gets cancelled, it's due to the declining ratings.

That's because it was Paul's job to keep the office running. When he reduced his hours and Shirley, Brad and Denny were trying to cover what he did they had no idea, he kept the business going while they went to court to keep clients out of jail!

That's because it was Paul's job to keep the office running. When he reduced his hours and Shirley, Brad and Denny were trying to cover what he did they had no idea, he kept the business going while they went to court to keep clients out of jail! |
Still, it would've been nice to see him actually do something in the court.

Agreed... There have been some really horrendous cast changes on this show over the years. I wish they would give Carl Sack (John Larroquette) a meatier role. In my opinion, they are wasting Larroquette's talents as I think he is a great actor. Also, Why does there have to be a revolving door of minor characters every season? I much preferred Claire Simms (Constance Zimmer) to Whitney Rome (Taraji P. Henson) or Lorraine Weller (Saffron Burrows). I think that this is one of the reasons that this shows is declining. Too many changes to the cast from season to season.

I liked Claire too, I miss her. But the one cast change I DO like is the addition of Katie Loyd. She has been a refreshing change in the flow of typical characters. They had better keep her for next season.

I really liked Jeffrey Cohoe too. : ( Claire was better that Whitney too.

I liked paul the reserved anti -denny.some of his reactions were priceless. I could not STAND denise bauer awful very glad to see her go kinda still miss the old ultra perverted alan of season one. When ever i try to tell people about this show i always mention jerry sing the opening titles a priceless moment in tv history cue the music
