Kenny: That wasn't so bad, was it?
Melody: Oh no, not so bad. It just scared five years outta my life, that's all, and I don't have five years to spare. (edit) Kenny: Why don't you do some investigating, Rex?
Rex: Because no one is paying me to and I happen to have a couple of paying clients now. (edit) Kenny (to Rex): Even the conservative newspaper is talking about an axe killer on the loose now. (edit) Cal: You oughta concentrate on your mid-terms, Kenny. Next time a red hot murder presents itself I'll cut you in, to coin a phrase. (edit) Lurene (to Kenny): There's more privacy on wheels than anyplace I know. (edit)

The Axeman of New Orleans was a real life serial killer who attacked at least 12 victims with an axelike object in the New Orleans area during 1918 and 1919. Not all of his victims died but he was never identified conclusively or apprehended.
