James Coburn and John Marley would later go onto appear with each other on an episode of Perry Mason entitled The Case of the Angry Astronaut. Ironically, in that episode, Coburn was the murder victim and Marley played the culprit.
(edit)
This episode has the classic example of a dumb villain in James Coburn's character. He's a hit man who lets himself get too liquored up on the job.
(edit)
Richard Chamberlain would soon be cast in the title role of the popular medical drama Dr. Kildare.

Griffin: You checked it pretty good, Mr. Wellington.
Wellington: I've checked it very good. (edit) Gloria: What happened to you, Rex? We missed the whole first act.
Rex: Well, first acts are pretty dull anyway. (edit) Melody: Nights like this I can sleep like a baby.
Kenny: Who said anything about sleeping? (edit) Melody: Kenneth, we've both got to resist your impulses. Now I'm goin' to bed and you're goin' home. (edit) Griffin: You're a pretty tough fellow, cornpone.
Cal: I'm always in a bad mood when I wake up messy. (edit)

James Coburn's character mentions that he'll probably have to hide out in Cuba until the heat's off. Evidently, the writers weren't paying much attention to the political events in 1960 Cuba because the Communist Fidel Castro had just seized power there.
