an emotional reality show hide « show »

The first time I've heard of this show was when abc did it I really liked it but was disapointed that it was canceled. Then I heard that the canadian tv channel slice aired re-runs I ended up missing the entire season. But when I was reading the tv guide & I saw it in the listings I gave it look & it was the british version so I decided to get back into it & it was the second season & it was the first episode where the kids were sent to turnabout ranch were the workers are alot stricter & rules were alot harsher( they were sent to bed without a pillow with only a small sleeping bag). The fact that this is more intense makes the british version of brat camp far more supirior than the us version

A unique show that offers insight into a unique way of getting out-of-control teenagers back on track hide « show »

This Channel 4 show was a very unique addition to the reality TV phenomena of the moment, offering a detailed insight into 7 badly behaved (VERY badly behaved) teens and their experiences at an unusual camp in Utah that aims to get the troubled teens back on track - and claims a 90%+ success rate. Watching the teenagers gradually switch from anarchy-loving smoking, drinking punks who refused to abide by the rules of the camp to a fairly well-behaved bunch of kids who accepted the fact that bad behaviour would get them nowhere was very interesting, and the show never got boring at any point. Still hoping for a second series, and maybe a DVD boxset too..

How do good kids get de-railed, spiraling downward on a destructive path that their parents seem helpless to deal with? This show offers insights into the lives of troubled teens and the adults who want to help them get back on track. hide « show »

After watching The Scholar--a show with super-motivated high school seniors who are on-track, goal-oriented, focused, and involved--it has been fascinating to watch teens at the other end of the spectrum, who are struggling to survive and are angry at the world and themselves. Sagewalk staff have a definite agenda for reform and it is a difficult and painful path. This show is an intense and relentless journey for the participants as well as the viewers. How can we watch these kids struggle week after week and not feel like cheering them on as they achieve personal breakthroughs and discover new insights about themselves. It's really great television.

    10 Perfect

It's an emotional ride to reality! hide « show »

Ever since last night when I was going to watch Canadian Idol at 8 PM, I noticed that I just had missed it, and that really intense Brat Camp show was on, we decided to watch it. It was on for 2 hours. I was just loving it! It's just so interesting to learn about other teens' lives and problems and past experiences. On this show, kids suffer by breaking their backs, hiking, to eating nasty stuff, but all this may help them to learn plenty of discipline, and respect towards others. All these kids have dealt with drugs, alcohol, and anything against the law. They have horrible attitudes in life and their caring parents hope the best for this unforgettable trip to SageWalk and they hope that it will bring out their little angels, the kids they used to be.
