Brian is the son of basketball star Jo Jo White, formerly of the Boston Celtics. His mother, Estelle, is a financial consultant. (edit) Brian calls his mother his hero. Together they started White & White, Inc., a corporation which helps to get money and volunteers to the proper charities. (edit) While in college Brian was a member of the fraternity, Beta Theta Pi. Other famous member of the fraternity include Adam West, George Peppard, and Stephen Sondheim. (edit) In April 2007, Brian took part in the Celebrity Read Aloud Tour. Dancing breaks down movements by count and is less abstract for my brain and body to absorb. Steppin’ is syncopated and it took me awhile to get the hang of it. I'm from an athletic family and athletes are great people for this kind of business because you are well trained to perform on cue under external pressure. I thrive to work in different genres. To me, art is about challenging myself. My secondary goal, by virtue of being a black man is always to represent a positive image of African-Americans to mainstream America like my cinema heroes, Harry Belafonte, Sidney Poitier, Denzel Washington, and Will Smith.
