Brian Melo sang All I Ever Wanted at the 'Me To We' conference held in Toronto on weekend of October 19 - 21, 2007. This conference was initiated by the Kielburger brothers (Craig and Marc) who started 'Free the Children', a non-profit organization.

Brian was joined by Jaydee Bixby and Carly Rae Jepsen in November, 2007, for a cross-Canada concert tour.

When Brian was in grade 11, he was part of a choir that sang back-up vocals for Shania Twain at a concert in Hamilton.

When Canadian Idol was auditioning for its 5th season, Brian didn't even think about trying out; his brother and friend convinced him that he should go to Toronto for the auditions. One reason that Brian hadn't considered it was because he'd tried out for Canadian Idol in 2002, and only made it as far as the first round.

Brian is the youngest of four children in his family; he has two older brothers and an older sister.
