When April is fighting Buffy in the playground, there is an instance when April breaks a seesaw with her bare hands. but if you look closely, it is clear that as her fist swings down that the actor stops before hitting the seesaw to keep from hurting her hand. edit »
How does Spike find Warren at the end? He only found out that April was a robot, he didn't know who created her or where to find him. edit »
When April gives Katrina to Buffy you can see that the 'unconcious' Katrina steps off the platform she was standing on and walks to the bench. edit »

For months before this episode aired there were rumors that Britney Spears was going to make an appearance on the show this season. According to several cast and crew interviews, the producers were planning to use her in this episode as the robot April, but Britney backed out at the last moment. edit »

Buffy: (snickers) Oh, I'm sorry. I'm very, very sorry, but if it makes you feel any better, my fun-time Buffy party night involved watching a robot throw Spike through a window. So if you wanna trade...No, wait. I wouldn't give that memory up for anything.
Giles: A robot? Sounds interesting.
Buffy: We're gonna work on it in the morning, unless you wanna stay. Then you and I could...
Joyce: (enters house) Who wants to hear everything?
Buffy: Listen to my mom talk about boys.
Giles: Right. Must go. See you tomorrow. Bye, Joyce.

Buffy: Okay. We'll track down Warren tomorrow. Tonight I better go rescue Giles. He's been watching Dawn while my mom's out on her date, and I have a feeling there's only so much he can take.
Tara: Oh, Giles and Dawnie? I bet they ended up having a blast.
(Cut to the Summers house)
Giles: Dear God, Buffy, there's only so much I can take. We're going to have to change the system. A fourteen-year-old is too old to be babysat, and it's not fair on her.
Buffy: What'd she make you do?
Giles: Um, well, we listened to aggressively cheerful music sung by people chosen for their ability to dance... then we ate cookie dough and talked about boys. edit »
Joyce: Gosh, I'd forgotten how much fun dating can be.
Buffy: I dunno. I was standing right here. I didn't even see Prince Charming. I didn't even see a good night kiss. It all looked pretty tame to me.
Joyce: Well, I suppose by your standards it could seem pretty... Oh, dear.
Buffy: What?
Joyce: I left my bra in his car.
Buffy: Mother!
Joyce: I'm joking.
Buffy: Good God, that's horrible. Don't do that.
Joyce: I left it at the restaurant.
(Buffy covers her ears and runs upstairs)
Buffy: No more! No more! No more!
Joyce: On the desert cart!

Dawn: A robot? Really? Was it Ted? 'Cause I always said there could have been more than one of him.
Dawn is referring to the episode Ted, in which a man named Ted who dates Joyce turns out to be a robot who tries to kill Buffy and Joyce. Dawn wasn't really around at the time, which demonstrates the false memories that the monks built into Dawn's mind so that she could better pass as a human. edit »
April: Yes. And... and... things are... always... darkest... before...

When April and Buffy are talking on the swings as April is getting low in power, seems reminiscent of the film 2001: A Space Odyssey when the intelligent computer Hal is being slowly deactivated, cutting off in the middle of a sentence. Interestingly, the episode was released in the year 2001. edit »
Buffy: I didn't see Prince Charming.

This is a reference to a standard prince in many fairy tales. He usually saves the damsel in distress by completing a quest or fighting some evil and they live happily ever after. Prince charming is usually very handsome, well groomed, and romantic.
