Captain John Hart returns to wreak havoc upon Jack's world, who ends up getting captured. It is up to the Torchwood team to rescue him and save the city.

(edit) In 2004 Burn appeared in the play Flush at the Solo Theatre Company. (edit) In an 2008 interview with Torchwood Magazine, Burn cited both The West Wing and 24 as two of his favourite shows. Burn: (on how he plays characters): : I feel very lucky. I think of myself as a character actor, compared to a straight actor. I know a character actor in England is pretty much the same as in the States, you're actually hired to put on terrible teeth and stuff like that. (edit) Burn: (on why he has played a variety of different roles): I've been very lucky in that I've been able to keep a finger in every pie really. I try to be open and not turn my nose up to things and if there's a particular project that I want to do or a director that I want to work with, I'll very axtively try to do that, even if it's just for one scene. (edit) Burn: (On why he is an actor): I've learnt something new everyday. When you get to the point that you're not learning, you need to stop. I think and either take a break, or give up and become a plumber or something because it's important to remain motivated and driven. (edit) Burn: (on how feels about the way the US has accepted Torchwood): Personally, I find that really refreshing, that, basically, it's accepted as a stand-alone series. It's certainly very different in tone. It still uses references to Doctor Who, but I think it's really good that it's being appreciated for what it is. Although I am a Doctor Who fan myself, so I always enjoy when there are references. When Jack goes off and disappears, it's kind of nice to have a mothership. (edit) Burn: (On the type of characters he's drawn to playing): Well, I've always seen myself as a character actor so I was surprised when they wanted me to get my top off for Owen. I thought, "oh no, you're making a big mistake," but I really love the classic actors we have here and in America. I always look up to people like Michael Gambon and Tommy Lee Jones, and I hope that as I mature I will become as craggy as them. I've been in a couple of films this year and had such a really great time. I worked with Elijah Wood and John Hurt on The Oxford Murders which is coming out in April. I'd love to do more far-out eccentric characters, they're what I'm drawn to, so Owen is a really straight role for me.
