Michael: (voice-over) If you know someone is going to be at the bank at a particular time, it's not hard to make it look like they are robbing the bank. Shoot out a few video surveillance cameras… block off the street with a stolen car like they are preparing an escape route… fire up a spark gap transmitter to kill the security radios at the bank and they'll really look like they know what they're doing.
(edit)
Michael: (voice-over) Clandestine meetings are never fun to arrange. It's a big part of the job for a covert operative but it's never pleasant. It's not so much the fear of death that bothers you, it's driving to the meeting with a bag over your head… sometimes they wash the bag… sometimes they don't.
(edit)
Michael: (voice-over) A good cover identity is a team effort. If you want to meet someone, it's a good idea to play a little hard to get. Put people between yourself and the target, make them come to you.
(edit)
Michael: (voice-over) When you're giving 5 inches and a hundred pounds to a well-trained opponent, it helps to know the terrain better than he does.
(edit)
Barry: You buying lunch?
Sam: Hey, you're the money launderer for Christ sake, why do I have to buy lunch? (edit)

Trivia: Sam Axe chooses the cover name "Charles Finley" in this episode. Charles Finley was the flamboyant and often controversial owner of the Kansas City Athletics, later to be known as the Oakland Athletics after moving the franchise.
(edit)
Sam: Spider-Man.
A reference to Marvel Comics' Spider-Man. Bruce Campbell, who plays Sam, appeared in all three Spider-Man films. (edit) Anwar: (measuring Michael with his eyes) You are Westen? I thought you would be taller.
This line alludes to the character played by Patrick Swayze in the movie Road House. As Dalton, a notoriously tough bouncer, he was always hearing this line from people who knew of him by reputation only. (edit)

Wanted ManPerfect "Character development" While this was an excellent episode, I'd clarify it more as a character development piece. It's fun and pushes the main plot line boldly ahead, but if you thought you knew these characters and where the story was going, you may be surprised. Continue » Posted Aug 17, 2007 5:28 pm PST |
