One night Kazuki Muto tries to save a girl from a monster, but gets impaled through the heart. The next day he wakes to find that it was only a dream. That is until he finds out that it is all true when a creature called a Homunculus attacks him and his sister. The girl, Tokiko, Kazuki saved the night before, comes and fights the creature. Kazuki finds out Tokiko is a alchemic warrior and that he did in fact die but Tokiko put in a Kakugane in place of his heart. Now infused with his fighting spirit the Kakugane forms a Busou Renkin so Kazuki can fight the Homunculus, along with Tokiko, that prey on humans. Tokiko attacks Papillion in an attempt to settle the debt Kazuki made with him. Papillion makes no move until she threatens the large flask behind, which contains something he wishes not to be destroyed. Tokiko, thinking its his weapon to destroy the world, manages to crack the flask open only to reveal a white kakugane, made in one month from scratch. As everyone watches, the moon shines a light like the sun, proving that Muto Kazuki still lives on. Using aid from the General and others, Buster Baron launches into space to retrieve Kazuki. But upon his return, Papillion chooses this time for his duel. What outcome will this duel between Papillion and the now human Kazuki be? What will happen to Victor? The end of Busou Renkin is here.

This is definitely a very, VERY good anime. But that's it at best- very, VERY good. The plot is nowhere near as original as in other animes and it definitely ripped off a bunch of other anime. The main characters are cool, but they kind of reminded me of Bleach. There is definitely action in this anime, and there is definitely some bits in which I had to laugh out loud. I do, however, like the romance between the two main characters, Kazuki and Tokiko--I can kind of just see that 'Red String of Fate' between them. That's probably the only reason I keep watching this show-the romance is cool.

I must admit I didn't know anything about this anime except it was based of the a manga by the same name.

The story isn't original, but is riveting, added a few new things/twists, and kept me watching. I watched the entire series in two days, I couldn't stop watching. The animation by Xebec is awesome, I know they've done a couple of other good anime, Zoids(original series), Love Hina, and Love Hina OVA. The characters were very interesting and you wanted to see how it ended for them. The music was very good also. I am going to have to pick up the mangas to see how closely the anime follows the manga and to see if it's as good or better than the anime.

It was a very good show but it copied off of MAR Marchen Awakens Romance and FullMetal Alchemist. The two main characters Kasuke and Mahiro look like Orihime from Bleach and Coud from Erementar Gerad. ...Continue »
My favorite character has to be Gouta since he's the fastest and smartest character. His Chakram fighting style is very original and using them to increase speed of the user is brillant. Tokiko fights like a spider and she's better when she uses her weapon as a sword. Chouno using explosives is a copy off of Deidara from Naruto and he doesn't hold a candle to Him. Negoro is a copy off of Xanified William from code lyoko.
All in all the show was okay but hte characters powers wern't very unique. The ending wasn't very good either.
But some of the fights were very good.
