Cain discovers a plan to hide top level gold in cheap jewelry. The mob has taken interest in this idea and has enlisted the man who came up with it, Karl Bigger. Only just to show that they are in control, the syndicate murders Bigger's partner.

Although the name of the city where this episode takes place is never mentioned specifically, it's pretty obvious that it's San Diego.

Fans of The Untouchables and The Dick Van Dyke Show might be taken aback somewhat if they watch this episode. Jerry Paris, who played a good guy on those shows, plays a rather shifty character here.
