Jason Boyes was remembered at a ramp ceremony on Kandahar fields, he was killed on a foot patrol when he stepped on a mine, he is the 81st Canadian soldier to die in Afghanistan; the Canadian government will send a representative to Mexico to discuss the Brenda Martin case, yesterday, Foreign Affairs Minister Maxine Bernier met with his Mexican counterpart to talk about the case; police in Toronto released video of a shooter firing at six men in a doorway, one man died in the attack; the Canadian-built Dextre is up and working; Newfoundland and Labrador are being hit by another winter storm, with St. John's getting 35 cm of snow, which is now turning to freezing rain; rising fuel costs are pushing up air fares, many American and Canadian carriers have raised their fares in recent days; an Oshawa grade 10 student is expected to go before a judge in China today, she was detained for shoplifting in the Hong Kong airport just as her school group was about to board their plane to come home.
