One of the greatest most underrated cartoons of all time! hide « show »

I absolutely loved this show, based on the cartoons of Steven Appleby. Richard E. Grant and Adrian (Young Ones/Bottom) Edmondson lent their voices to this terrific, satirical sci-fi cartoon, that Futurama fans would love! Produced at Cosgrove Hall studios, the show sadly aired during a children's block in the UK, and Captain Star simply wasn't a children's show. It's witty satire and bizarre plots were far better suited to an evening slot. Repeat showings have been few and far between too - a great shame, as this could have become a cult classic. I'm hoping for dvd releases in the future, but it seems unlikely.
