When Nikki tells Sakura and Meilin about a memorial garden that sells good luck amulets, the two girls simultaneously decide they have to have one. But once there, the garden turns into a maze and they seem to be hopelessly trapped. Every time they come up with a strategy to get out the crafty Maze Card makes things more complicated. It is their new subsitute teacher, the lovely Layla Mackenzie, who helps them find their way out. Alone amoung all the kids, Li is distrustful of the beautiful stranger, despite her assistance.
