Nighttime at the museum, a security guard is on patrol inside. Then, a boy sneaks around the place. Until nothiong else is seen, a howling sound is heard. Morning in Sakura's house, Sakura sketches Kero in a bad figure, which gets him mad. Now her dad calling for breakfast, Kero gets frustrated. Now, the class is on a fieldtrip to the museum. Sakura wanders the museum. She tells how quiet it feels inside. Now not minding to go with her friends, she opens her sketchbook and finds out it was scribbled by Kero and screams loudly enough that Mr. Terada quiets her down. Now drawing an "object" seen in front of Sakura and Madison, Sakura gets amazed how Madison is able to drawit perfectly. Madison not minding to go with Sakura outside with her friends, she leaves. Now wondering where's the exit, she observes a boy who is being restrained by a security man. The boy is claiming his father's painting has been changed, that the lady in the picture isn't supposed to be there. The security man believes it is the boy who is trying to damage the painting. He gets loose and charges at the painting, yelling at it. Suddenly, the painting moves (the lady shifts her finger over her mouth) and the room goes silent, Sakura tries to listen but there is no sound. The boy stops and the security man leads him off, but he drops his ID. Sakura picks it up and Madison says it's time to leave. Now talking about what happened inside, they realized it was a Clow Card inside and they suggest to investigate it in the night.
That night, Sakura sneaks out to go with Madison back to the museum until she is spotted by Julian. Sakura tells him not to tell Tori and says he saw nothing. Now at the museum, they put on their costumes to go in and Madison sets her watch to alert them of the guard coming and they sneak in, going for the picture. Kero tells them the Clow Card is The Silent. But the boy from earlier, Alex, is also there and they come across each other once Kero scares him. Once woken up, Alex tells them his dad created the painting and that it was altered and that he is there to restore it, since it's an oil painting, he'd be able to peel it off. At the painting, Madison begins questioning Alex's ability to restore the painting, to give Sakura a chance to seal The Silent. He begins raising his voice and the painting moves again, this time transporting Alex, Sakura, and Madison into the courtyard, outside of the room. The painting's been doing it to Alex for a while now and he's used to it, thinking it's a ghost. The three sneak back in, but at the painting, Alex drops a tool and it makes a clanking sound, and they all get transported out.
Sneaking back in again, Kero sneezes and they all get transported out again. Madison's watch gives its 5 minute warning but Alex hurries back in and the guard catches him. The two struggle and Sakura and Madison hide behind a sculpture.
Sakura decides to help him, getting the idea of using The Shadow. It takes on Sakura's shadow's image through the window and knocks down the guard. Alex running off now, the guard chases after him. Sakura catches the Silent from the outside, using Shadow's outline of her body. When Alex comes back outside, the guard is scared away by the painting's change. They show Alex that the painting was corrected and he runs to the window. Now his hat is falling off and long hair is revealed, Alex is really a girl. Alex was scared that if they knew, they'd recognize her from the painting, which is of her.
