During the morning, Sakura is inside her house combing her hair. Kero is kind of begging for Sakura to buy him a video game, which she claims that the guardian beast has become a battle monster. Kero claims that he has to keep up his battle skills and that he is a warrior. Now, her father tells Sakura that she's gonna be late for school. Now going downstairs, Tori compliments to her "how does she do it". Sakura mad, her dad tells both to stop the argument. Sakura goes to school on her roller blades with Julian and Tori. Tori tells Julian that if he wants to come over to study, he might as well come early for dinner. Tori warns Julian that his father is gonna be cooking. Julian asks Sakura if the food was gonna be any good. Sakura tells Julian that the food will be great. Tori comments that it'll be better than anything she could cook up. Sakura tells Tori to be nice and Julian tells Sakura that she has to stand up to her brother. Sakura claims that one day when Tori least expected she make her move. Julian tells Tori to look out. Tori asks Sakura sarcastically if she was the girl that he read about in the newspaper. Sakura asks Tori about it and Tori tells her that some girl her age is taking on martial art experts and beating them. Julian claims that they are too much embarrassed to say much about it. Now arriving at school, Madison tells her that Li hasn't even been to class yet and he's always early. Sakura asks if he was capturing a Clow Card, but Madison assures her that he wouldn't do it without her. All of a sudden Li comes in looking all tired and unhappy. He comes and sits down. Right after he sat down, a new girl comes in. She goes up to Li and tells her that she thought he was gonna walk to school together. Now, Mr. Terada introduces the new exchange student as Meilin Rae. Sakura asks Li if he knew Meilin and what she's like. All of a sudden, Meilin comes running and demands Sakura to back off.
At recess, Sakura and her friend discusses about Meilin. Meilin comes running to Li and tells him that she'll make her lunch. Li tells her that she can't make him lunch. Meilin tells Li that they can pretend to be Cardcaptors like old times. Li tells her that he is a Cardcaptor. Meilin tells Li that the Lasin Board says that he wasn't a Cardcaptor and that someone else is. Li claims that the Cardcaptor is very good. Meilin tells Li that no one is as good as a Magician as him. Li tries to explain that he has to help her... Meilin claims that she knew that the other Cardcaptor is a girl and she points at Sakura. Sakura feels a sudden chill and Madison ask what's wrong. Meilin claims that she could help him more than Sakura can. Now Li sighs as a sign of toruble.
At gym class, everyone is peforming gymnastics doing cartwheels. Since the whole class goes, Meilin did a good job on it and glares at Sakura. Once she goes, Meilin glares at her fiercely. Now the class turns out to be a contest between Meilin and Sakura. As they perform well, especially Sakura, Meilin glares at her once more. At Sakura's bedroom, she tells Kero how Meilin is onto her. It's dinner time and Sakura halfway ate. Questioned by Julian, Tori teases her that she was out beating a karate expert and come for dinner. Sakura kicks Tori and Tori stares at her. The family is talking about the girl that is beating up the karate experts. Julian reads from the newspaper that the girl was wearing a very unusual costume. Nervously, Sakura goes to the park where the girl was seen. Kero starts complaining because he is wearing a costume of his own. Kero suddenly senses a Clow Card and so does Sakura. Madison wonders what kind of card attacks trained fighters. All of a sudden, Milin says it's the Fight Card. Sakura turns around and finds out that it was Meilin standing on top of a street light. Meilin disses Sakura about his outfit and claims that she is helping Li now and that Sakura can take a hike. Kero gets mad and flies over to Meilin. Meilin finds out that it's the guardian beast of the Clow and she is surprised because she thought it was a toy. When Meilin tells Sakura to butt out, the Fight card comes and gets ready to fight. Attacking Sakura, Meilin challenges The Fight to a fight.
The Fight attacks first, but Meilin turns out to be an outstanding fighter. She's quick and she does a kick on The Fight, and caused it to fly pass Sakura landing back first on a fence. The Fight gets back at Meilin and Meilin is ready to fight. Meilin attacks while The Fight defended herself. When Meilin does the kick again, The Fight grabs her leg causing Meilin to fall. The Fight was about to finish her off, when Li comes and saves her, causing the Fight to fall in the Canal. Now asking if Meilin is okay, Li argues with her on why she came in here in the first palce. FRom what Kero said, Sakura finds out that Meilin has no magic and stole the Lasin Board to find the Clow Card. When Meilin explained her story, Li told her to go home. Now the Lasin Board shows the place of The Fight Card and revitalizes it. The Fight comes and attacks Li. Meilin sees Li hurt and she is mad. She tells Li that The Fight might be a Clow Card, but she's Meilin Rae. She now attacks The Fight very skillfully, but still loses. Wondering whatSakura can do, Madison suggets her to use The Power card and Sakura does. Once she's upgraded by the Power Card, Sakura attacks The Fight, but misses. The second time she attacks The Fight, she hits it with her staff. Now fainted, Sakura seals it once and for all. Now Li asking Meilin if she's okay, she is still not happy even though Sakura saved her. Sakura tries to cheer her up by saying that if Meilin hadn't worn out The Fight, she wouldn't have beaten The Fight. Meilin doesn't care and still dislikes Sakura and tells Sakura that she know what Sakura was up to and stares her down and hugs Li. Madison tells Kero that being a Cardcaptor has suddenly got complicated. Kero calls Meilin a minor glitch. Now Li sighing, Meilin is still hugging him.
