Sakura, her father, brother and Julian are going to a summer house during vacation. Sakura complains about the amount of homework she has. Kero comes along too, and Sakura nearly forgot about him being in the food basket, so she was about to turn him into a sandwich by squashing him. Tori, Julian and Aiden go grocery shopping, but Sakura wanted to take a walk instead. Julian tells her that she could go to a huge summer house near where they are staying, it is just across the bidge. Tori asks her whether she was asleep during their journey because they went passed the house already. She goes to see the large house, taking Kero with her. She says it reminds her of the garden in Alice and Wonderland. She meets a man there. He invites her to have a cup of tea and cake. That night, the family and Julian barbeque. Tori does the barbequeing because now he has a part time job at the steak house. Everyone likes his cooking. Sakura mentions that the old man invited her over again for the next day. Before going to sleep, Sakura calls Madison, who is at home because she had choir practice for the national competition, and couldn't come with Sakura. Sakura tells Madison that their rentes summer house and the place they are in is nice, but it would have been better if Madison would have come along aswell. Sakura wishes Madison good luck, and tells her about the summer house she went to, and the kind old man she met there. Kero tells her not to forget his share of the cake when she goes there the next time, and he shuts off the lights. The next day, Sakura's father gives her some cookies to take with her to the old man's house, and he tells her to say hello to the man from him. When Sakura arrives at the man's house, she thanks him for inviting her, and he thenks her for coming. The man shows her a room inside his house, and Sakura immediately knew the room belonged to a girl. She asks if the girl could join them, but he says the child whose room it was went to heaven a long time ago. Sakura apologises, and the old man says, "There is no need for you to apologize. Now, smile. A smile suits a girl best. What is your name?" Sakura tell him that her name is Sakura Avalon, and they have tea together. Sakura wonders if someone else made the tea, and the man told her that he feels as if his granddaughter was back. Sakura gives the man the cookies, and he asks Sakura about her father. Sakura says that her dad is kind, good at cooking, a university professor, and also good at sewing. She also tells him that he can knit too. The old man asks Sakura to try on his granddaughter's favorite dress, and tells her to keep it because she looks like his granddaughter. Sakura refused at first, but when the old man told her that it would make his granddaughter happy, she changed her mind. Sakura looks at the picture of a rainbow that the girl drew, and the man told her she drew it for him because he liked rainbows. Back at the cabin, she and Kero try to think of a way to repay him because he seemed so sad. The next day, they're leaving to go home, but Sakura goes to see the old man before they leave. She tells him to go to the balcony in his granddaughter's room after she leaves, and he tells her that he will make sure that he does. Sakura says she had a lot of fun with the man, and he tells her thet he enjoyed it aswell. Sakura tells the man that his granddaughter must be in heaven just like her mother must be. She uses Rain to make a rainbow for the old man. As he stand on the balcony, looking at the rainbow, his other granddaughter, Samantha, appears. Samantha says that it was fun to pour out tea and make cakes without Sakura seeing her. The man says that he was glad to meet his great granddaughter, and he also says that Sakura's Father seemed to be a nice man. Samantha wonders how Sakura knew there would be a rainbow, and Kero notices Samantha standing at the balcony, but he did not recognize her.
