When Richard learns of Del's proposing to Caroline, he goes searching for another job, and is seduced by his just-divorced employment counselor; Remo and Annie try to convince a skeptical Caroline that she's oblivious to Richard's feelings for her - and hers for him.
Dell gets back together with Caroline and proposes to her. She doesn't say yes, but considers other options when Annie and Remo let her in on the fact that Richard is smitten with her. Richard goes to find a new job, sleeps with employment agency owner. hide show
When Del proposes to Caroline, who doesn't answer right away, Richard decides he can't work with her anymore and goes to an employment agency to find a new job. There he meets a woman who's ex has cheated on her. She decides to get revenge by seducing Richard. She is also trying to (unsuccessfully) quit smoking.
Meanwhile, Annie and Remo let Caroline in on the fact that Richard is smitten with her. This makes her think about her relationship with richard as maybe being more than friends, and she goes to his apartment. She finds him with the woman, they had just slept together and Caroline is jealous. She runs out to the rain, where Richard goes after her with an umbrella. He wants to tell her his feelings, but stops. The moment when they are looking at each other in the rain is beautiful! You really see the attraction they have for each other.
This is one of the funniest episodes of Caroline in the City I've ever seen. The woman at the employment agency is hilarious! The fact that she is crazy, neurotic and trying to quit smoking brings about some funny scenes. I absolutely love, love, love the scene in the rain with Caroline and Richard. They definately have chemistry. A+ episode!
