Showtime's supersticky ganja comedy adding Matthew Modine, Carrie Fisher to cast.
Suburban pot baron Nancy Botwin is getting some fresh buds.
Joining the third season of Showtime's Weeds will be Matthew Modine (Full Metal Jacket, The Bedford Diaries) and Carrie Fisher (Star War's Princess Leia), reports Reuters.
Modine has signed on for 10 episodes as a real-estate mogul named Sullivan who is developing land next to Agrestic, the show's fictional suburb setting. Both Nancy (Mary-Louise Parker) and Celia (Elizabeth Perkins) are said to dabble in romantic escapades with Modine, with Nancy eventually getting employed by him.
Fisher will be featured as the divorce lawyer for Celia. Also returning to the series is blue-eyed starlet Zooey Deschanel, who reprises her role as the psychotic ex-girlfriend of Andy Botwin.
