Show Summary [edit]

A junior at Titan High School, Jimmy Kudo is no ordinary teenager. Jimmy has developed a celebrity status as a world-class detective, solving crimes that leave the city's top law enforcement officials stumped and the nation cheering. One day, while at an amusement park with his girlfriend, Rachel Moore, Jimmy unwittingly finds himself at the scene of a sinister crime. Undaunted by the severity of the situation, Jimmy employs his keen deductive powers to skillfully locate the trail of the suspects. However, just as Jimmy stands poised to solve the case, he is captured by two members of a mysterious organization that operate under the darkest veil of corruption. In an effort to permanently silence the young detective, these shadowy men force Jimmy to drink a newly developed poison. One that "can't be detected in an autopsy". Miraculously, Jimmy escapes death, only to find that the toxin has reduced his 17-year-old body to the size of a 2nd grader! Distraught about his pint-sized appearance, Jimmy resolves to discover the whereabouts of these evil perpetrators. He enlists the help of his eccentric neighbor, a scientist and an inventor named Dr. Agasa. Dr. Agasa's first suggestion is that Jimmy keep his identity secret, even from his girlfriend Rachel, fearing that if anyone found out, the dangerous killers would certainly come back. The doctor's second suggestion isn't as easy – to live with Richard Moore, a washed up private detective that also happens to be his girlfriend's father! Disguising his true identity by adopting the name "Conan Edogawa", Jimmy begins a series of intricate cases, cracking puzzling and sinister crimes, in a quest to unravel the secrets behind his attack and the poison that shrunk him.

I'm currently going through and correcting the cast and titles of each episode to date. It's going to be a long, drawn out process, so please be patient as I make it fully accurate again. I will eb using the Japanesse titles after what FUNi has classified as season 5 until the DVD's come out. I also plan on adding in the movies t the guide, and I already have the cast list ready to go for The Time Bombed Skyscraper. Thank you for your patience as I work to make this one of the best Detective Conan/ Case Closed guides around. If anyone has an episode synopsis for after season 5, then lpease feel free to submit it as soon as I have corrected the titles, but the air dates will be left as unaired since this guide uses the US airdates.

In case anyone wants to know why the guide is in such bud shape, I had lost my editorship poition for a time to someone who didn't take care of the guide as well as I was. As a result, a bunch of bogus episode names got listed, incorrect cast and crew were added, and seasons were also messed up, with the exception of season 5. Now that I have resummed editorship, I'm goin gthrough and deleting all but th econfirmed personnel in each episode, and past season 5, I will not include any cast personnell since I don't know who's all in them. I've currently gone back through seasons 1 thru 3 this way and made them accurate as far as DVD listings go, but I will not add anybody into the guest star category until the DVD release now comes so as to avoid causing the guide to get into worse shape than it is. If you have any comments or suggestions, feel free to post them here. Thank you.

The cast list for every episode is now correct according to the DVD releases. For the remaining season  2 & 3 episodes, I will add the cast list back when thse DVD's are released (the first of which is next month). Now, I'm going to go ahead and add the remainder of the Japaneese titles to the guide list. I'm going to do it as 52 episode seasons as well until FUNi reveals how they're going to do the remainder of the series season wise. Season 6 itself isn't due out until sometime next year (if FUNi continues releasing them every 6 weeks), as the remainder of the season 2/ 3 episodes will occur in either 3 or 4 releases all together. This means we should have the first 5 seasons all out by by May or June of next year.

I just have a few suggestions:

Since you're going to do American versions of the titles, you should make the title of episode 231 be, "Jimmy vs Phantom Thief," as opposed to "Jimmy vs Kid."  Also, because it is a two-hour special, you should probable change it so that it is listed as 4-parter.

Finally, episode 102, "The Cornered Detective Part 3" is missing.

This is all just constructive criticism (I'm just trying to help).  So it's okay if it doesn't get done, I'm sure it's hard work to take care of such a long series.

You technically shouldn't have anything past episode 83 and the 1st movie listed to begin with: You're the Case Closed episode guide, not Detective Conan. You're mixing your shows here. Case Closed is too different for you to be listing Detective Conan episodes.

Here's where you would be mistaken. Detective Conan and Case Closed are the exact same show, albeit in different languages. That is the ONLY difference. There is nothing edited in Case Closed in terms of content. Everything that has been shown in Detective Conan has been in Case Closed, at least on the DVD. Also, to address your second concern there, I've deleted all the voices though past episode 83, since they could change voices, but I doubt they'll do that since they managed to use all the voices for the movie (even though one of the VA's had moved to LA). In the long run, since I can't actually delete any of the episodes already present (which past the 5th season were added by the previous editor), then it makes more sense to add them so that all episodes will be included. FUNimation has annuonced they will be releasing after episode 83 next year, so that shows they have more, and I'll only need to fine tune it at that time.

Thank you for pointing these out to me. The previous editor goofed on these episodes, and since they already have ones before and after it there, I should go ahead and make sure they are all included and correct. I will try and get to it this weekend. I just took control of the guide "Legend of the Dragon" and am also working on "SRMTHFG!" and "Dragon Booster," so it is difficult to find the previous mistakes.

Have I ever mentioned that this forum is REALLY helpful? I mean *Reeaallyy* helpful. Do the dvds really appear every six weeks? I had NO idea. you don't know how happy that makes me! I just watched "The Timed Bombed Skyscraper", and I'm really psyched... can't wait to see another one.

He is a FUNi VA, but if he isn't listed in the credits of the English episodes already listed here, then he hasn't been in the series.

I got my copy of season 4 in the mail today. As a result, episode summaries have been added for an additional 9 episodes. I am correcting the titles as I add the episode synopsis. You might also notice that I am removing the Production codes. I am doing this because 3 seperate Production codes have been used (1 for the adult swim broadcast, 1 for the single set DVD's, and one for the season set DVD's), so I figure it is safer to remove the production codes all together.

102 has now been corrected in that it at least appears on the season 4 list now. The episode title listed is the dub title, even though I haven't watched that far yet. The synopsis will probably be altered tomorrow.

You might notice the two movies that are dubbed still aren't listed. I have decided to list the movies under season 1 while starting with episode 1500 so they appear at the bottom of the list. They will also be listed as movies, but you should still be able to access them as well as any other episode once they are added.
