I know in the holloween episode Nathan sports his brown coat from Firefly but do any of his or any other charcters past roles ever appear in any episode? Or contradictory stuff like in some shows they have the person outright say they never have done something that they did in another show? ForMore example Robert Picardo I believe on Stargate Atlantis says he doens't know anything about medicine at all but played an Emergency Medical Hologram for 7 years on Star Trek: Voyager.

Perfect popcorn show - no more, no less. hide show

9.0 the average for the show? Are you kidding me? It does tell me what the average reviewer wants out of a show though - and it isn't very much.
Castle is a typical, oh so typical dramedy with just a hint of pepper and spice but no real taste to speak of - a perfect popcorn and beer show. It NEVER wavers from that premise, never brings it up a notch, but to be fair - never brings it down much either.
In EVERY episode, the killer is someone from the beginning of the show just so we can have a half an hour of wrong leads and forget about what happened at the beginning, and then we have a revelation and the culprit is caught. Every time. Well, it gets really old after the third, fourth or tenth time. We have the obligatory home twist with a tidbit from gran's acting or daughter's boys, followed by a little bit of sexual tension with Beckett. There is still woefully little we know about any of the supporting characters, and, come to think of it, about Castle and Becket as well.
I.e. (sorry) but the show is totally - shallow.
Let me stress again this is not a bad thing, all in all; when I want to just unwind with a relatively simple but engaging 45 minutes - this is just fine. But I have no idea why anyone would thing they are watching anything but above average bus literature... Anyhow, I'm glad to have it back for the third season - I got the craving for popcorn again!

Cop and a crime writer, who'd knew it would work out? hide show

I only started watching castle recently, i watched the pilot episode and i must admit i loved it, the pilot revealed so much about the characters backgrounds and from the pilot i knew it was going to be a good show.

Castle manages to have a correct balance of comedy and good cases. I like how the whole police concept is a bit more real life and there has been a few episodes where this has been shown. The cases are very good, i like how the relationship between beckett and castle has developed. I liked the story in season 1 of castle next book being based around nikki heat (Kate Beckett). The comedy is suttle and funny. The episodes have a few well timed and well acted gags, this makes them funny as they do not use them in excess. Castle reminds me of Life (2009). Funny and great cop show. I like the writing styles and this show has a future. With many great episodes behind them i hope this show gets renewed for a third season. Castle just tell beckett how u feel :)

Overall great show, great writing and funny 10/10
    Thanks for reading :)

I love Castle but... hide show

There are a few things I think they need to change. Castle is a crime show but it is also a comedy (at least to me)so I hate to see Castle hurting because Kate is with another guy. I love the flirting between the two characters but to make it the basis of the show. It might not last. The family dynamic of the Castle's always entertains. The actors on this show are clearly having fun working together and I hope that it lasts. Basically I love Castle and its characters but the writing needs to reflect that. With enough viewers, because its ABC,Castle could easily continue for many years.

Thank you!!! The writers redeemed themselves.... for bit. But still love the show. hide show

I reviewed before and some agree'd with me and some didn't which is awesome cause we all have different interests and thoughts of how the show is going. I was not happy with the Demming character and here is hpoing that his character somehow dies and never comes back (hint hint to writers). Sad for Kate cause I really do feel a connection with her but she made her bed now she has to lie in it for awhile but she and Castle will be fine. He loves her not his ex. I was more worried of Kate loving Demming more than Castle. So please writers forget relationships for a while. And get back to writing a crime story with Kate and Rick flirting, then maybe later get them closer but never close again with anybody else please!!!

    Loved It!!! hide show

Well just watched the first episode and will definately be watching the rest of the series, I loved it, the main characters were very good and I liked the chemistry between Castle and Becket, but I also liked the savvy ,too sensible daughter and the graydar man hunting Grandmother. The story was pretty good and I was killing myself laughing when Becket grabbed Castles nose to get him to tell her what he knew, I also liked the poker game with James Patterson ( one of my favorite authors ) and Stephen J Cannell, nicely done, is this a regular thing??
If the rest of the shows are only half as good, will still be worth watching, so looking forward to next week.
