At the 2008 Richard Attenborough Film Awards in England, Cate was awarded the 'Actress of the Year Award' for her performance in Elizabeth: The Golden Age. (edit) Blanchett was been nominated in 2008 for the Academy Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance as Jude Quinn, a Bob Dylan-like figure whose experimentation with new musical styles alienates many of his old fans during a concert tour of England in Todd Haynes' film I'm Not There. (edit) Blanchett was been nominated in 2008 for an Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance as Queen Elizabeth I in Shekhar Kapur's critically disastrous drama Elizabeth: The Golden Age. (edit) Cate is nominated twice for a Golden Globe in 2008, once for Elizabeth: The Golden Age as best leading actress in a drama, and once for I'm Not There as best supporting actress.
