Cathy Jenéen Doe was born in Tallahassee, Florida, on November 16. After graduating from the University of Florida in Gainesville with a Bachelors of Science degree in Journalism, Cathy began getting small roles, including a guest appearance in NBC's Ed and DISNEY'S Go Fish before landing the contract role of Simone Russell on NBC's Passions.

Before joining Passions, Cathy had lead roles in the independent films School's Out, The Truth, Chance and Five Years, and after contributed to the independent film Buds for Life. She also produced and co-wrote the independent film The Root of all Evil.

Cathy lives in Los Angeles with her long-time boyfriend, actor Eugene Byrd.
