A great episode

At the start, past and present seem to merge as Catweazle sees men dressed in Norman costumes fight a sword battle. He doesn't know whether he is in his past or the present and runs away, in the confusion losing his witch knife Adamcos. When he's back at Castle Saburac, Carrot comes to visit and they discover that the knife is missing, while Catweazale tells Carrot about the Normans. They go outside to search for the knife and see it lying on the ground, However, at that very moment, Mr Bennet walks and picks up the knife. It turns out that the fighting Normans are locals practising for a local show that is performed annually.
Mr Bennet takes the men into town, because Sam's car has broken down, and he takes the knife with him. Carrot and Catweazle try to hitch a ride into town but the driver takes off after seeing Catweazle. Bacn in town, Mr Bennet goes to the local antiques shop and the owner, a very camp, Leslie Milton, suggest the knife is not worth much. Mr Bennet then gives it to him, not even trying to sell it. He helps Leslie with some cases and then takes off to talk to the sho's organisers. When Carrot and Catweazle arrive, on foot, in town, they go to the antiques shop. The closed sign is showing, but Catweazle uses a spell and the door is open. Leslie greets Carrot and explains that the sign was only there to deter visitors, the door was not really closed. He asks Carrot to mind to store while he goes to do some costume shopping for the show. Carrot and Catweazle search the shop but cannot find Adamcos, because Leslie took it with him.
When Sam and Mr Bennet arrive in the shop, Catweazle hides in one of the large baskets. Fortunately he can get out before they try to take the baskets with them. Later on, when Leslie returns, Catweazle hides in a large sarcophagus. It fall down and when it opens and Catweazle stand up, Leslie faints. Catweazle and Carrot notice Leslie was carrying Adamcos around his neck and they manage to retrieve it.
