I'm extrememly happy about Katie's debut tonight on the CBS Evening News. Her 26 year career in the news business has shown how hard working she is. She was fired from CNN in its early days simply on her appearance. (Turner said she was "too cute to be credible") She went on to local news and then to the Today Show. Thankfully she never gave up, and now has her first night as a network anchor under her belt. Way to go Katie! You have shown the nation that cute is credible. She did a phenominal job tonight, not letting the hype take away from the job she needed to do. She made small comments about being the new anchor, but did not dwell on it, getting to the first story within the first minute of the broadcast.
Additionally, the addition of "FreeSpeech" and "Snapshot" will be an excellent way to get the public involved with the news again.

GREAT JOB, MS. COURIC! See you tomorrow.

Happy that Katie Couric is now off the CBS News. Sorry to say but she's been awful and that's why alot of viewers left. You can't be cutesy with the news. No one will take you serious. And frankly the current state of affairs proves that. A cutesy President leading the country is more than enough for anyone to take. (or stomach, whichever you prefer).
