CBS Summer Playhouse was a collection of unsold pilots that didn't make it onto CBS' schedule between 1987 and 1989.
In the first season, Tim and Daphne Maxwell Reid were the hosts. Viewers were asked to call a toll-free phone number to voice their opinions on the pilots. But after the first season, this idea was dropped, and so were the hosts.
