Eddie gets very depressed that she doesn't win the PR Person of the Year Award and almost works herself to death trying to gain revenge. Saffy's psychology lecturer starts giving her some "extra special tuition" and Eddie comes to her daughter's aid for one of the few times in her life.

Edina, Patsy and Bubble are at a PR awards party. On the neighbouring table is Edina's rival, Claudia Bing, sitting with a bunch of "nobodies". Edina is at the table, with Naomi Campbell, but she is concerned that Lulu is missing. Edina and Claudia are nominees for the "Edina Monsoon PRs' PR Award". Since she sponsored the award and chose the judges, she is confident that she will win, meanwhile, Bubble and Squeak, Claudia's assistant, misunderstand their instructions to get a feel for the "buzz" in the room and end up taking food and drink orders.

At the house, Saffron invites her psychology lecturer in for tea and is besotted by him. Meanwhile, Patsy returns to Edina's table after an encounter with Jason Donovan and they find out what has happened to Lulu, who is on the stage presenting one of the awards. Edina tries and fails to get her client to sing "Shout". Next to the podium is Naomi and Edina and Claudia become increasingly competitive, first inching closer to the stage and then picking up their tables and moving them nearer. The winner is announced as Claudia and Edina is crushed; moreso when Naomi and Bubble defect to Claudia's table, so she and Patsy make a quick exit.

Having tried almost every variety of tea in the house, Saffron's lecturer, Gerard, goes to leave, but not before kissing her. When Edina and Patsy enter, he leaves, and it takes some time for Edina to calm down from the awards fiasco before an electric shock makes her realise that her daughter has been alone in the house with a man. And kissing him.

The next morning, Edina has a very proactive demeanour, confident that she is going to have a fantastic idea that will save her company and put Claudia Bing in the shade. She finds the studio where Claudia is working on some advertising with Naomi Campbell and convinces the celebrity to be the face of her new "global integrated tele-satellite projection system." While Edina is working, Saffron is home with Gerard again when Mrs. Monsoon arrives to visit her granddaughter. She reveals that Gerard has a wife and two sons and Saffron is horrified. When Patsy joins them, she doesn't know how to react to Saffron offering her a drink and Gerard leaves as Edina arrives. He returns a moment later having left his briefcase and Edina punches him in the face and warns him to leave her daughter alone.

That night, at another PR gathering, Edina prepares to deliver the speech for her new idea but it has gone missing. When her audience grow impatient, Edina's outburst about PR no longer being fun unintentionally saves her career. She and Patsy locate the rubbish outside and look for the missing speech before passing out. They wake up on a barge on their way to the Ostende landfill.

Edina defends Saffy. And the jerk deserved it too! hide show

One of the few episodes where Eddy comes to the rescue of Saffy. While Eddy is busy prepping for a PR convention (she has to say a speech, which is quite entertaining to hear), Saffy is being harassed by her psychology professor. He comes to the house on a regular occasion, and when Saffy feels the pressure, she tells her mom, who gives him a good one in the face.

The speech is memorable, with jabs taken on her nemesis PR who is stealing all her clients.

This was a really good episode.

By the time this episode was written, it was already revealed that the show would be going off the air, and the final two episodes were planned out in advance. So technically, this is the last episode of AbFab until season 4 started years later. [edit]
The shot of Eddie & Patsy was flimed on a real garbage boat going through London. However, they had to film it at 6AM, since garbage boats aren't allowed through the city during business hours. [edit]
