  • The fletchings (feathers) on an arrow come in threes and to increase accuracy when firing a right-handed bow as "Robin Hood" does, two fletchings should point angled to the right, upwards and downwards respectively, and the third directly to the left. At several points in the episode, Robin draws his bow with the fletchings oriented incorrectly (one fletching to the right, two to the left). As an expert archer, Robin Hood should know better. edit »
  • When Ms. Donovan is doing astral projection at magic school in front of Paige you can see that her real body is awake before her astral one is gone. Her real body only could be awake after the astral one is gone. edit »
  • When Drake and Paige are looking at the Book of Shadows the Mercury Demons' page suddenly changes. First we can see that they have found the page but a second later we see a different shot where the page in the book is not about the Mercury Demons anymore. edit »
  • At the beginning, when Billy Zane (Drake) appears and later when he is with Paige looking at the Book of Shadows, he has a slicked back hairstyle with one curl shaped like a C over his right eye. During the course of both scenes it appears, disappears and changes shape in different shots. edit »
  • TRIVIA: As of this episode, all four of the sisters have been on a motorcycle. Prue in the season 3 episode "Just Harried", Paige in the season 4 episode "Size Matters", Piper in the season 6 episode "Valhalley of the Dolls (2)", and Phoebe in this episode. edit »

  • Darryl (on phone with Phoebe): Your friend Brody came to visit me last night...didn't you say he died? edit »
  • Leo: Since when do you staple decorations? Don't you want everything to be perfect?
Piper: What's the point? It's all gonna be torn down tomorrow anyway.
Leo: Well, the point is – is not worry about what's gonna happen tomorrow. The point is to stop and enjoy Valentine's Day.
Piper: Well, some people can't forget. Some people would rather see the rips and the flaws, so that they're not totally devastated when they're all torn down suddenly tomorrow.
Leo: We're not talking about decorations anymore, are we? edit »
  • Norman: What exactly do you want from me? Did my ex-wife send you?
Drake (as Robin Hood, pointing his arrow at him): I'm here to rob you.
Norman (gives him a funny look): Of course. edit »
  • Ms. Donovan: You ride in here, nearly kill us, and now you want to teach here?
Drake: Well, if I wanted to teach parallel parking, you might have a point, but I'm here for the literature post. edit »
  • Drake: You know, there's only one man I know that can solve all of these problems...
(Drake changes them into characters from Robin Hood)
Drake: Oh come on, Robin Hood!
Paige: Oh you. I'm going to hire you just so I can fire you.
Piper: Do we look merry to you?
Drake: Well, perhaps you should see the world as Robin Hood would have. He believed in himself. He also loved the thrill of the fight. edit »
  • Drake: It is a poor player, who struts and frets...

He quoting a soliloquy, or monologue, from the classic play "Macbeth" that Ms. Donovan attempts to finish, but is interrupted by Drake. See also Act V, Scene V of William Shakespeare's "Macbeth". edit »
  • Title: Carpe Demon

Reference to the saying "carpe diem" which is Latin for "seize the day". edit »
  • Drake: Do you like Gene Kelly movies?

The specific Gene Kelly movie that Drake is referring to is "An American in Paris", where Kelly's American artist meets and falls in love with a French shop girl played by Leslie Caron. The dance that Drake and Phoebe do in front of the stairs is a recreation of Kelly and Caron's dance next to the Seine - right down to the costumes. edit »
