Quotes

add »
(Paige is in Phoebe's body and Cole is questioning Phoebe's behavior)
Phoebe: I'm just very angry, because you...uh...you tore my jog-bra! And now I've got to change. (edit)
Cole: What's gotten into you?
Phoebe: Paige! (edit)
Paige (in Phoebe's body): I think Paige is the kind of person who needs to learn from her mistakes... (looks at her body) and believe me, she's learning fast! (edit)
Chinese Guy: Well, I'd love to kill your daughter! Wish me luck. (edit)
Phoebe (in Paige's body): If you don't fix this, I'll perm your hair! (edit)

Trivia

add »
Doesn't it seem a little odd that Phoebe who has only studied martial arts for a few years would be able to go hand to hand with Yen-Lo who has studied his entire life? Even though the powers intensified in the other world, his powers would also have intensified still making him superior in ability! (edit)
Why was the Zen Master so determined that it was his time to die? If he believed so strongly in fate, wouldn't he even consider that meeting a Whitelighter who could save him may possibly have been his? (edit)
Yen-Lo is afraid of entering into the vortex because of reincarnation and the karma that will follow, however shouldn't he be afraid of Yama the spirit that comes to take unclaimed souls to Hell? In the show's fourth episode of season one when the sisters are trying to save Mark, he explains that it is a part of the Chinese legend that he only learned was true in death. Yen-lo and the rest of the people involved in this storyline were Chinese, so what happened to the original legend? (edit)
It wasn't revealed what happened to Yen Lo's body. (edit)
It wasn't revealed what happened to the Dragon Blade. Only souls can cross over to the vortex. (edit)

Allusions

add »
Zen Master: It's never too late for redemption. If you enter that vortex, you'll cleanse your soul. Start life fresh.
Yen-Lo: Yeah, as a tapeworm or maybe even a dung beetle. I know how karma works.

Usually it is believed to be a sum of all that an individual has done, is currently doing and will do. The results or "fruits" of actions are called karma. In religions that incorporate reincarnation, karma extends through one's present life and all past and future lives as well. It is cumulative. (edit)
Piper: You need to work on your potions.
Paige: Come on!
Piper: Paige, don't make me the wicked witch of the northwest.

It's an allusion to The Wizard of Oz. The Wicked Witch of the West (or simply The Wicked Witch) is a character in the Land of Oz. The character also figures prominently in the classic 1939 movie based on Baum's The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. (edit)
Yen-Lo: Oh, it's you... black belt Barbie.

This is a reference to the popular Mattel doll, Barbie. (edit)
Phoebe: So what's on our training schedule for today? Lightsabers?

Lightsabers were the weapons used by the Jedi Knights in the "Star Wars" films. (edit)
Cole (to Phoebe while training her): When I expand, you contract. When I contract you expand.

This is a reference to the same thing Bruce Lee says in the film "Enter the Dragon". (edit)

At first I didn't like it at all, right now... I love this episode! It's great, adventurous and the off-screen work was awesome. It's not boring at all, has tons of action, effects and stunts, and it the story is very original.
