(Grams wakes up after fainting)
Grams: What happened?
Patty: It's okay Mom, you just fainted.
Grams: Well of course I fainted you're dead! (edit) Phoebe: So much has happened over the last 8 years. So much has been gained and lost. Still, in some ways I feel like my life is really just beginning...and it was. For though I had loved before, I'd never really known love until I met Coop. A man who I shared the special little girl I had long ago forseen, but feared I might never have. Along with two other special little girls I had not forseen. I was suddenly so blessed to have a new family of my own, and old friends to share it with. And though I kept working and giving advice to those who asked, I was more interested in helping them find love. Since finally, having been loved.
Paige: Phoebe, had become somewhat of an expert on the subject. As for me, life without demons opened up similar avenues. Henry of course continued to look after his parolees, even if they didn’t want to be looked after. While still making time to help me with little Henry and the twins. Which allowed me time to finally embrace my inner whitelighter. And to help the next generation of witches come into their own.
Piper: So that Paige could pass on all that she learned. Not just to her own children, or to mine, or to Phoebe’s, but to other future witches and white lighters as well. Which filled the time between when we were doing the fighting and when our kids were old enough to take over. Allowing me time to get back to my roots and cook something other then potions for once. And open the restaurant I'd always dreamed of owning. As for Leo, after we reclaimed magic school he went back to teaching. Which he continued to do, until it was time to retire.
Older Piper (finishes reading the Book of Shadows to her granddaughter): And although we certainly had our struggles and heart aches over the years we’re a family of survivors and we will always be. Which is why we've truly been Charmed.
Piper's Granddaughter: Again, Grandmama, again.
Older Piper: Oh, dear. No, I can't. I need to rest. But you can look at it for a little while if you'd like. After all, it'll be yours one day.
(As older Piper and Leo walk up the stairs, the camera zooms in pictures spanning four generations of the Halliwell family, including a picture of Victor and Patty). (edit) Grams: Oh no, don't do that. I mean there's so many things, wonderful things that I just don't wanna forget you know.
Patty: There's just as much I don't ever wanna know. Like what happened to Prue. Victor told me.
Piper: Oh Mom...
Patty: It's all right. I know everything happens for a reason. I believe that. I also know that when one door closes another one opens. Older Piper: That's cheating!
Older Leo: I'm not asking you, I'm asking me! Well...?

We learn in this episode that the Elders sent a Cupid(Coop)to Phoebe in hopes that the two would fall in love in order to reward her for all her loss. If that was the idea then why didn't they send the Cupid from season two? The two of them were obviously attracted to one another and even kissed! So why if the Elders really wanted that wouldn't they send a Cupid she had already connected with? (edit) When future Chris and Wyatt see Grams, Chris recognizes her. However, Wyatt does not. This clearly indicates that all future visits from Grams stopped after the final battle, so why did Chris recognize her? While we know that he met her during season 6, that Chris (the one from the dark future) died and was reborn into a different world where his life turned out different. Therefore, he should not have haqd any memory of any of that since the future changed and it never technically happened, meaning Chris, at least that one, never came back and should have had no more knowledge than Wyatt. (edit) When Past Patty see present Victor she excitedly hugs him oblivious the future of their marriage, which Victor responds to by informing her of (with somewhat of an attitude). What exactly was Victor's problem anyway? The two of them have since resolved their issues in the episodes Just Harried and Cheaper by the Coven, so why all the resentment in his voice? (edit) When Billie walks into the room after offering to help the sisters, Piper is holding the Book of Shadows. However when the scene changes and all 3 sisters are shown standing together, the book is "magically" no longer in Piper's arms. (edit) In the episode Piper, Patty and Grams say the spell to remove the Hollow, yet in the season 4 episode Charmed and Dangerous it is said that beings from both good and evil must say the spell for it to work. So when Piper, Patty and Grams said the spell, it should not have worked as they were all good witches. (edit)

The title is a reference to the 1947 Otto Preminger film "Forever Amber"" and the 1944 novel of the same name by Kathleen Winsor. Also it's a reference to the song "Forever Young" by Bob Dylan and the one by Alphaville (later covered by the Youth Group). (edit)
