Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo are credited as "Special Appearances", unlike other musicians, that are credited as "Special Musical Guest". This is probably because they have small acting roles in the episode as well as performing at the end.
(edit)
Piper (to Paige): I just figured out a way to find the demon... (The cowboy next to them looks strangely) ...stration! Demonstration! She knows what I mean! Come on!
(edit)
Jason (after tricking Phoebe into meeting him through an online dating service): I had to find a way to see if you were interested in me without putting any pressure on you. I like you, Phoebe. I liked you the minute I laid eyes on you. And I know you like me, or at least the part of me that brought you here. Otherwise you wouldn't have come.
Phoebe: Jason, I don't know…
Jason: I'm not asking you to marry me. I just want to buy you a drink. Come on, what have you got to lose?
Phoebe: Oh, I don't know, my job maybe? (edit) Phoebe: This dosen't make any sense.
Paige: Like half the things we go through do! (edit) Leo: Piper, we've got problems.
Piper: Yeah, I know, you're late and it's your turn to watch the baby. (edit) Seamus (a chant to make the rainbow appear): Go neiri an bothar leat. (edit)

In the manor, when the two female demons are on the staircase, Piper blows it up and the blond demon falls down to the ground level. However, in the next shot, she is standing back up on the landing.
(edit)
Paige seemed to have developed an almost instant rapport with the Leprechauns. They appear in several future episodes and Paige is always the sister they deal with the most. This is very likely a nod to Rose McGowan's Irish lineage, which is readily apparent from her surname and red hair.
(edit)
In this episode, the Leprachaun says that he has the ability to make luck go either way when they are facing Saleel. However, future appearance by the leprachauns say that the luck is random and can go either way!
(edit)
Phoebe mentions a meteor shower in her column, and at the end of the episode, a meteorite vanquishes the reptile demon. Unlike asteroids, meteors are generally harmless and are better known as falling stars. Most meteors burn up in the atmosphere. If a meteorite lands, it may cause some minor damage, like breaking a car windshield. It was an unusually large meteorite that hit Saleel.
(edit)
TRIVIA: When Phoebe is about to open the door, and it's Jason, she asks if it's George Clooney or Justin Timberlake. In the Latin American translation, she asks for George Clooney or Brad Pitt.
(edit)
Saleel: The Charmed Ones. It's about time you got here
Phoebe: Yeah, well, we had to make a little pit stop somewhere over the rainbow.
This is a reference to the 1939 movie "The Wizard of Oz", in which somewhere over the rainbow is Munchkin land, which is essentially where Paige and Phoebe went. The film was based on the series of books by L. Frank Baum. (edit) Title: Lucky Charmed
This is a reference to the cereal, Lucky Charms, and it features a leprechaun as it's mascot. (edit) Seamus: Don't even try it, Neil. I already hit you with my best shot.
A nod to the episode's musical guest, this line is a paraphrasing from Pat Benatar's 1980 chart-topping single "Hit Me with Your Best Shot". (edit) Phoebe: Who's it gonna be? George Clooney? Justin Timberlake?
Phoebe's line about singer, Justin Timberlake at the door is a tongue-in-cheek reference to Alyssa's brief romance with him. (edit)

Lucky CharmedGreat "Filler episode" It's not 40 min about the freaky leprecaun! So it's not a 40 min bad episode! The episode is much more than that. If the only reason you don't like this episode is because a leprecaun is shown, you know, that is a silly reason! Continue » Posted Aug 23, 2007 9:53 am PST |
