Norm: I don't know Cliff. What do you want to do?
Rebecca: You guys sit here for hours and say the same thing over and over.
Cliff: Well face it Rebecca, nothing ever happens around here.
(enter Andy Andy covered in dynamite)
Andy Andy: Where's Diane!?!
Norm: Hey look, it's Andy Andy.
Rebecca: You guys know this lunatic?!
Andy Andy: Where's Diane? I demand to see Diane!!!
Woody: Uh, Miss Chambers hasn't worked here for 5 or 6 years.
Andy Andy: Oh. OK, goodbye.
(walks out)
Cliff: Uhh, Norm, what do you want to do?
(Rebecca turns around and gives them a look of disbelief)
Norm: I don't know Cliff. What do you want to do? (edit)
Norm: I don't know Cliff. What do you want to do?

The amount of time between episodes is never stated. Hence, Sam could have just decided to go get all new furniture, though a throwaway line about it would have been nice & could have been quite funny.
