Phillip's religious beliefs and Jeffrey's grief over the death of his son put them on opposite sides of whether to convince a young mother to remove her infant from life support so that her daughter's organs can be donated to save the life of another baby. Karen deflects a flirtation from Jeffrey, but romantic sparks fly between her and Aaron.

Jeffrey: The McKinnon baby had a purpose. I've asked myself so many times what was Joey's purpose, if a baby's going to only live less than a year. Maybe some babies don't live long enough to serve their purpose. I think I finally understand Joey's.

Jeffrey: To allow me to love him. And I did, Aaron. I loved him so much. Too much for God to take him away from me.

You Gotta Have HeartSuperb "A very special episode" A baby who has no brain function and cannot survive is kept on life support because of the religious beliefs of her mother. But another baby will die without a heart transplant from that baby. Continue » Posted Jun 16, 2006 11:04 pm PST |
