From CHiPs Online:
When Kathy knocks on the woman's door looking for information on the drug dealer, she introduces Bruce as "Officer Nelson". Not yet, Kathy! He's still Cadet Nelson.
Ponch looks through binoculars at the guys breaking into cars. We see a typical binocular gobo. Anyone who has ever looked through a pair of binoculars knows that you see everything in a circle, not in that binocular view!
(edit) Keith Mitchell (Roland) is now known as Keith Coogan. He is the grandson of actor Jackie Coogan, a child actor discovered by Charlie Chaplin. In the 1930s he sued his mother and stepfather for the earnings he made as a child. By law he had no claim to it and was awarded only $126,000 of the $4 million he actually earned. It is he for whom the the Coogan Act (California's Child Actor's Bill) is named. The Coogan Act protects the earnings of child actors. Jackie Coogan is probably best remembered as playing Uncle Festus on The Addams Family. (edit) Erik Estrada (Ponch) and Kathy Shower (Cindy) were briefly engaged in 1983. (edit)
