CHRISTINE ANDREAS' engagements at the Cafe Carlyle and in the Algonquin's Oak Room prompted the New York Times to extol: "the Carlyle selected the most obvious candidate from the next generation of Broadway sopranos . . . She delicately kills with the sheer beauty of her voice . . . .she finds a blend of lyricism and sweet sensuality that only the finest Broadway voices can conjure." Liz Smith was moved to write: "Christine Andreas is everything anyone who loves romantic pop music could want - simply sine qua non." Her Carnegie Hall debut in June 2000 was hailed as "brilliant", "delicious", and "sexy" in Variety. Her most recent appearance at the Café Carlyle "Here's To The Ladies: A Songbook of Broadway's First Ladies" was greeted with unanimous
critical acclaim.

Best known for her work on the Broadway stage, Ms. Andreas burst onto the New York theatre scene starring as Eliza Doolittle in the 20th Anniversary production of MY FAIR LADY opposite the Royal Shakespeare
Company's Ian Richardson, a performance which garnered her the first of many career accolades, the Theatre World Award. .

Ms. Andreas has received two Tony nominations for her work as Laurey in OKLAHOMA! at the Palace Theatre and as Frankie Frayne in ON YOUR TOES, directed by the legendary George Abbott. Other Broadway credits include WORDS AND MUSIC with the late Sammy Cahn, Nancy in ANGEL STREET with Dina Merrill, Rebecca in RAGS, the short-lived Alice in the short-lived LEGS DIAMOND with the late, great and wonderful Peter
Allen, and the Broadway bound and derailed Erte production of STARDUST. .

She most recently created the role of Marguerite St. Just in Frank Wildhorn's THE SCARLET
PIMPERNEL, opposite Douglas Sills and Terrence Mann . .

Ms. Andreas' television credits include THE COSBY SHOW, PBS' MUSICAL COMEDY TONIGHT and as Ava Gardner in MIA, CHILD OF HOLLYWOOD. Soap fans may remember her as the evil shrink Taylor Benson on ANOTHER WORLD. She most recently guest-starred on LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS' UNIT which first aired January 26, 2001. .

Collaboration with Composer Martin Silvestri led to Ms. Andreas' debut in London's West End starring in his musical THE FIELDS OF AMBROSIA at the Aldwych Theatre, followed by concerts in London, Paris, Rome and at the White House, culminating in the release of her CD LOVE IS GOOD. Highlights from her acclaimed
debut at the Café Carlyle can be heard on her newest CD THE CARLYLE SET, available in September on After Nine Records.
