Christy and the rest of the Cutter Gap community are just beginning to recover from a typhoid epidemic when a storm hits the rural alcove. Christy is then stranded in the forest with Dr. MacNeill and her fiancé David risks life and limb to rescue her. Despite a loss of property, the town makes it through the storm relatively intact, but many have been changed by the experience. I love this show! I hated to see it end especially the way it left us hanging. My favorite character was the Doctor and my least favorite character was the one played by Tyne Daly.
Some fans have reported an extra expisode, not on the DVD, that aired later w/the entire cast that wrapped up the cliffhanger that the show ended with. I had never heard of this, can anyone else confirm that it exists?
