Show Summary

Edit Summary »

After Elliott Baines loses his bid for reelection to the United States Senate, he returns home to Seattle to face life as a civilian and to reestablish his relationships with his three grown daughters -- Ellen, an attorney contemplating a run for office herself; Reeva, an unfulfilled wife and mother; and Dori, a young woman searching for a path in life out of the shadow of her famous father.

Poor ratings doomed this excellent series, and it was cancelled after only six airings.

True to life issues as a Washington senator has to deal with running his family instead of the country. hide « show »

Finding that reality shows just are real enough? Citizen baines does a phonomenal job of staying true to life as a former Washington senator has to come to grips with running his family. His three daughters, all grown up, also realize how much they need each other and maybe still need a little guidance from dad. A really good show starring the likes of Matt McCoy, Jacinda Barret, Embeth Davitz and James Cromwell as Senator Baines. Well thought out and well shot by the crew, this show was the first really watchable drama. I especially liked the true location shooting, which was contrary to Rose Red where looking in one direction was Seattle and in the opposing direction you saw a building that was 45 miles away!
