For those that missed the episode today (Sybaris Fountain), here is a brief summary (without too many spoilers. Ya, I'm bad when it comes to it).

Cronus appears in a city (can't remember which one. My dog was barking when they said it) and revives the body of a stone woman lying at the top of a fountain. She is revealed to be Sybaris, Queen of Vampires, after she morphs into her nocturnal form. She is a serpent/dragon with massive fangs and wings, so don't expect a mainstream "Dracula" or anything.

Hermes sent the team here to check things out (including a Neil who seems prepared to handle anything vampire-ish with a coat full of stakes, crosses, even water guns full of holy water). A farmer comes into town in hate, almost running over a woman called Thalia (sp?) who Herry saved. The farmer was carrying a heap of dead sheep in his cart, saying that Sybaris has awakened. Herry, who has fallen for Thalia, goes out for a date with her at night, leaving the rest of the team to investigate the farm.

Meanwhile, after Hermes is rooting through his fridge, Hera asks where the heroes were. Hermes told them where, and Hera, rather surprised, is on her way.

After Neil saves them from Sybaris by shining a flashlight on her, they return home to the hostel to collect their thoughts, with Hera there waiting for them. She tells them about the tension between her and Sybaris, and they are off in search of Herry after Theresa senses him in danger.

That's a great summary, thanks Sounds like a really good episode, so I'm looking forward to watching it.

That said, if anyone is interested in reading more about the Greek mythological Sybaris on Wikipedia, I believe you're going to have to run a search for Lamia instead.

Not to mention (SPOILER WARNING) Herry almost went Vamp, then Jay stabbed Sybaris. Did you know that there used to be a greek city in Italy called Sybaris? It was destroyed during some war...

Is it just me or was that episode (and by the episode I mean the things relating to the water guns) giving anyone else a complete MIB flashback? Odie got the Cricket and Niel was the expert in the matter. And I think there might have been movie paralells in the lines too. Dammit, now I want to watch that movie again to check.

About the name of the city it was something like Ciserene,  Cicene or something like that, and another person(forget who) said something about the Mediterranean so they're obviously in Greece. Did you see when they were fighting, Theresa almost got bitten two times! I was practically freaking. Also Jay almost got bitten too. Another thing, HERA KICKED SOME BUTT! My brother was happy because Hera is his second favourite (Theresa, like me, is first) character and he was happy(if you ask me why he likes her, I have no clue. He's just weird)

I am absolutely sure you must mean Cyrene, regarding the city. It's in Libya (which IS in the Mediterranean), which is, if I recall correctly, Sybaris/Lamia's place of origin in Greek mythology. (Had to do my classical studies essay about one of Pindar's victory songs that was dedicated to the winner of a competition who came from Cyrene, so the name definitely sticks out in my head.)

So yeah, if the geography is right, NOT Greece!

'Mazed and Confused' is played as a re-run quite often, so I'm sure you'll catch it again eventually. But to give you a BRIEF and not-so-well-written rundown from memory (it's going to be one of the first episodes I'll do an extremely detailed re-cap for when the fansite goes up -- and I swear that recap will be MUCH better) and yes, there are SPOILERS:

Tourists have been mysteriously disappearing in the abandoned subway tunnels of New Olympia, which seem to be a somewhat popular tourist attraction. During the pre-opening titles teaser, one tourist wanders off and is snatched away by a shadowy figure through a grate. We see the man being dragged off, while his video camera is left behind on the ground of the tunnel.

After the opening titles, we see Archie, Atlanta, and Theresa doing combat-training in the gym. At one point, they all make a run for the same punching bag, which Herry happens to be standing behind (so you can guess what happens). Herry also happens to be reading a tabloid article about tourists disappearing in the subway tunnels, though the others dismiss it as an urban legend. Jay, on the otherhand, thinks they should check it out anyway. Everyone else tries to get out of it, and Neil and Theresa do a coin-toss to decide who will go investigate with Jay.

Theresa (well, you can probably guess why she's there, given Neil's power) and Jay tag along with another group on a guided tour of the tunnels, but they abandon the other to explore a side tunnel. They notice a grate in the floor leading to another lower tunnel, as well as an abandoned video camera. Theresa drops down the retrieve it, and gets pulled out just in time to avoid being attacked by a Minotaur (there's a Jay/Theresa moment where she lands on him, and they look at each other before pulling back awkwardly). Back at the school, Chiron and Persephone help the kids figure out that the figure captured on film is the Minotaur, and warn them that strength may be a weakness on this particular mission.

The others then return to the subway tunnels with extra equipment, only to find that the gates are now locked (doesn't stop them from getting in though). Odie stays behind while the others go on ahead in the tunnel, since he suffers from claustrophobia. Basically, the other six split up into teams to explore different branches of the tunnels -- Atlanta gets seperated at one point when she accidentally wakes-up a Minotaur.

Not only that, but it turns out there are MANY Minotaurs, as Cronus hired a scientist to clone the original creature. The heroes (minus Atlanta, who's off running from and fighting a lone Minotaur) rescue the scientist and two tourists who were being saved up as food, but they get cornered when Minotaurs begin to charge at them from all sides. They escape through a chute they happen to be standing on top of -- the Minotaur follow though -- but they eventually find themselves at a dead end in a pit.

Odie, however, comes to their rescue (he got over his claustrophobia by using some VR technology) and Herry breaks a hole through a wall they can escape through. This gives them the idea to destroy the Minotaurs by collapsing the already unstable subway tunnels (which they accomplish by getting them to charge at the structure). Meanwhile, Atlanta finds herself running from her Minotaur in a subway station, but it eventually falls into a chasm she (almost) jumps over.

As for the finale, the plan works and the entire structure collapses just as the heroes manage to escape. It seems like Atlanta didn't make it, but she shows up just in time to catch Odie as he faints (and we get an Archie-likes-Atlanta moment when he gets excited and relieved that she's alive and she teases him for worrying about her).
