Birth Name:
Claudia Ann Christian
AKA:
CC
From a very young age, Claudia Christian was a very determined and driven person who knew what she wanted to do with her life: she wanted to perform for an audience.

She was born to a German mother and an Irish father. To say the least, her parents pushed her to succeed in her chosen profession and to not accept mediocrity. She graduated high school at the age of 16; she was fluent in four languages (English, French, Italian and German); plays the guitar and piano in addition to painting and listening to opera. Her inclination towards the arts was obvious.

It was no surprise to anyone who knew her that she would choose acting as a profession. At the age of 18, she moved from Laguna Beach to Los Angeles in 1983. She worked as a clerk in a coffee shop and later in a clothing store before landing her first professional acting job in an episode of Dallas in 1984. The following year, she signed on to her first television series as a regular in NBCs nighttime drama Berringer's playing "Melody Hughes". Two years later, she made the leap to the big screen by playing a male alien trapped in the body of a female stripper in the sci-fi cult film "The Hidden".

She went on to co-star in numerous studio films alongside Hollywood stars such as George Clooney, Morgan Freeman, Nick Cage and many others. Her television credits include several movies of the week, co-starring with such greats as Faye Dunaway, Peter Falk, Bob Hope, Don Ameche, Sharon Stone and Jacklyn Smith among many others. However, her path to fame and recognizability came after landing the role of Susan Ivonova in Babylon 5.

In addition to acting, Claudia is also an accomplished singer and budding author. She has recorded 5 albums to date ("Taboo", "Claudia Squared", "Once Upon a Time", "Area 51" and "Claudia Christian & Claudia Cummings")and written two books: an autobiography titled "My Life with Freaks And Geeks" and "Siren" in addition to two short stories called "Wicked Women" and "Sacred Bands" in the publication "Forbidden Love".

In 2005, Claudia moved to London, England. Once there, she was cast in Broken News, a 30 minute comedy that takes a satirical view of the network news. After the show completed its brief run, Claudia made her stage debut in the UK by acting in the play "Killing Time" at the Edinburgh Festival. Her performance was so well received that she was nominated as best actress.

She currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
