Clive's ex-wife, Margaret Drabble, is writer A. S. Byatt's sister. (edit) Clive was in the unusual late-night comedy show Dig This Rhubarb. The show involved a panel discussing current 'hot' topics, but their arguments were founded in references to the topic in classical literature. (edit) In 1988 Clive appeared in the film Giovane Toscanini, Il, about the conductor Arturo Toscanini, which was released in the U.S. as Young Toscanini. (edit) His first movie role was in the 1965 British film Catch Us If You Can, which was released in the U.S. as Having A Wild Weekend.
