A drug dealer gives Ali and Mickey a tip about a 12-year-old murder. Blair Walsh was blamed for the deaths of his wife Tammy and young son, their bodies found by his teenage daughter. Mickey and Ali wonder when the daughter refuses to even consider that her father may be innocent. As they continue to investigate, they realise that the husband died before the wife, which clears him of any wrong-doing.

Coscarella investigates when one woman is killed by a vicious dog (the wife of Todd Merritt), and another man is attacked by a different vicious dog with a different owner (Bud Loosey), and goes to meet trainer John Goode, the man who sold a vicious pitbull to Bud Loosey.

Christine is slipping back into her own ways, and the office staff begins noticing that she's not doing her job as well as she should. She seems to be overly helpful, spending a lot of time in the evidence room, but what she's really doing is stealing drugs.
