Cooper and Justin are two college students, who are spoiled and conceited. They think that they can get away with anything cause they have their father's money and influence to back them. However, Cooper's father has placed him on notice, it seems that he gets a lot of girls pregnant and his father has to bail him out, he tells him that this is it. Their latest scheme is getting a copy of the exam they will be taking. But their professor finds out about it and tells them that the only thing that they have to look forward to is either being flunked or expelled. But when they spot having dinner with his girlfriend, they decide that this could be the opportunity they need to get rid of him. They steal the gun of the brother of the campus security guard. They wait until their next class which is being taught by Columbo. They trick the professor into leaving and while he is in the garage they are watching him on a close circuit camera and when he is position they press a button that triggers the gun. Columbo then proceeds to investigate and the boys are only to eager to help out. Eventually Columbo sets a trap for them; he lets them think that they found the murder weapon in the car of the man they are trying to frame but only the car that they he told them about doesn't belong to the man but to Columbo's wife, so how could the gun have gotten in it, if they hadn't planted it there.
