The six remaining men of Bravo Squad assemble on the grounds of Camp Windstorm. Commander Boesch addresses them and briefs them on the competition ahead.

The six-man squad is split into two teams of three to compete against one another. The losing team will be discharged, leaving the other three men to go one-on-one in the final evolution for the individual championship. A leader for each team is randomly selected by drawing swords. Kain and Sirker each draw a marked sword, and thereby become the leaders of Bravo Blue and Bravo Red, respectively. Kain and Sirker are then allowed to choose for their members. The squad ends up with the following split:

Bravo Blue: Bob Kain, Jeff Byers, and Dexter Fletcher
Bravo Red: Sean Sirker, Mark Corwin, and Steve Claggett

Each team is instructed to pack their gear and move into separate tents.

The two teams face off in the Combat Combo Training Exercise, a series of training exercises that they have done before: Helocasting, Log Carry, Rucksack Race, and Pit Cross. At the opposite end of the pit is a bunker for each team. The first team to get all three men into their bunker and set off an explosive charge wins. The losing team must add 10 pounds to pack for final mission. Bravo Blue wins this Training Exercise.

The two teams face off next on The Grid Training Exercise. The team that has the last man standing wins, and the losing team must add 10 pounds to pack for final mission. Bravo Red wins this Training Exercise.

The final mission is called the Urban Assault. This time, the two teams will be facing off against each other. Each team will begin at opposite ends of a deserted urban neighborhood. Using maps, each team must find their way to a series of homes in the neighborhood. Each house contains a round of ammunition for each team member and a map to the next house they must search. In the last house, teams will find a map to a final objective in the neighborhood. The first team to get one man to the final objective and pop smoke wins. The winning team moves on to the final evolution, while the losing team will be discharged.

Both teams each find their first house. As they approach to their second houses, the teams catch sight of one another and begin to fire at each other. The teams find their second house. Byers shoots Corwin. Both teams find their next house, and then Claggett shoots Kain. As they run for their next house, the teams exchange fires, but no one is hit. Finally, both teams acquire maps to the final objective. Bravo Red sets up an ambush, while Byers decides to make a run for it. He reaches the final objective without being hit and pops the smoke. Bravo Blue wins the mission.

The six men assemble on the grounds of Camp Windstorm. Commander Boesch formally dismisses the members of Bravo Red and shakes each of their hands. Bravo Blue gives them a formal salute and handshakes. Sirker, Corwin, and Claggett leave the camp. Add a recap »
