Futurama is easily the greatest tv show ever. Not only is it hilarious, but it has really smart plots/jokes, interesting and original plots, a brilliant cast and it's the only cartoon in my opinion worthy of the word "beautiful". The animation is so lovely. And also, it's the only tv show I have ever seen which was genuinely emotional without being sappy, infact, it's the closest a TV show has ever been to making me cry. And it made several of my friends cry when I showed them some episodes.

Family Guy? Family Guy the best comedy? If it wasn't for shows like The Simpsons and South Park Family Guy probably wouldn't even exist. Best sitcom is Seinfeld best comedy show Andy Griffith show.

I love most of the choices that have been named, but my personal all time favorite and, in my opinion, best comedy is
    "Are You Being Served?"

Even though I've seen most of the episodes many times I never get tired of it and still find something to laugh at.

Hmm, hard one to call. There have been so many great comedy shows.

I'd have to pick Red Dwarf, just for the memories of watching the early series first time round on British telly.

Since all american comedies aren't funny I would have to pick the british " Little Britan" and I dont know if this counts as comedy but I used to watch Oblivious. I also find Whose line is it anyway very funny.

Little Britians good and all, but it kinda gets on your nerves because its the same jokes all the time.

This is a tough one......Me personally though I think 3 shows would fit this.

    1) The Simpsons (Lots of social satire and slapstick humor. It has faultered abit since Season 9 but its still a good show.)
    2) Family Guy (Just laughs a riot here and its only been on for 4 seasons! The writing is just fantastic and the humor is so off the wall its great. It might not be considered now but in a few years it will be considered one of the best shows off all time.)
    3) Monty Python's Flying Circus (Lots of dry humor but alot of slapstick humor as well. It is one of the main reasons comedies are so good today cause they steal alot of the humor from this show. It is one of the best comedies of all time.)

So just count all 3 off these shows I guess cause I can't decided which one is the best.

For American comedies - Spin City is my favourite show and so is Friends.
For British it's Only Fools and Horses.
