Red Nose Day 2007 - The Big One is coming. Starting Saturday 3rd March and continuing Wed 7th until the Big One, the definitive, celebrity singing competition is back. Claudia Winkleman & Patrick Kielty are your hosts on BBC One as 13 Celebrity Students take to the Circle of Fear stage to sing for your vote and for Comic Relief. In March 2003, the BBC launched a spin-off of their popular endemol reality TV talent contest Fame Academy. Hosted by Cat Deeley & Patrick Kielty, and in aid of Comic Relief, eight celebrities sang live to the nation every evening, with one of them voted out by the public each day until only one winner remained. In 2005 the series was made even bigger with thirteen celebrity students giving their time and singing talents for Comic Relief. Monarch of the Glen's Dawn Steele, Radio 1 DJ & Winner Edith Bowman, ex Casualty doc Christopher Colquhoun, impressionist Jon Culshaw, EastEnder Kim Medcalf, Corrie star Debra Stephenson, writer/comedienne Jenny Eclair, TV Presenter Nick Knowles, TOTP host Reggie Yates, comedien Al Murray, actor/comedian Adrian Edmondson and comic Gina Yashere. The 13th student was kept underwraps until the Live Launch when Blue Peters Konnie Huq took to the stage. The series continued nightly from Wednesday March 2nd to Red Nose Day Friday 11th March. An amazing 8.25 million votes were received during the series, raising a whopping £1.3 million for Comic Relief.

Celebrities that took part in the original 2003 series were Ruby Wax, Ulrika Jonnson, Fearne Cotton, Jo Brand, Doon MacKichan, Kwame Kwei-Armah, Paul Ross, John Thompson and the eventual winner, Will Mellor. From the 4.5 million votes cast in 2003 the total raised from the public voting by phone, text and online was £750,000.

Red Nose Day: The Big One - Finale

The Big One hits BBC One live at 7pm tonight as British TV's top talents take over til the early hours.

Of course tonight we will find out how much money Fame Academy has raised and the winner will be named following the final public vote of the series.

The main winner at the end of the series is Comic Relief.

Here's a rough guide to the schedule for Red Nose Day 2007 - The Big One

A host of stars get together to raise money for charity on Red Nose day. 7.00 Lenny Henry and Fearne Cotton kick things off with music from Girls Aloud v Sugababes, a special Mr Bean and Ant and Dec. 7.30 Paul O'Grady and Kate Thornton take the helm as the two remaining celebrities battle it out in the Fame Academy final and Harry Hill presents a special TV Burp. 8.00 A special Creature Comforts from Aardman Animation and Catherine Tate's Lauren the Teenager has a new teacher at her school. 8.30 Russell Brand and Dennis Waterman star in exclusive Little Britain Live sketches and the Dead Ringers team poke fun at the world of celebrity. 9.00 Patrick Kielty and Claudia Winkleman reveal which celebrity has won Comic Relief does Fame Academy. Dawn French returns for one last time as the Vicar of Dibley. 9.30 Carol Vorderman and Jonny Ball appear in a live edition of Mitchell and Webb's nonsensical gameshow Numberwang, Take That perform live in the studio, and a top secret treat from Peter Kay.

Plus sketches from Catherine Tate, Ricky Gervais as never seen before, and Jonathan Ross and Kate Moss appear in Little Britain Live. 11.30 Graham Norton has late night naughtiness, aided and abetted by Davina McCall. The Killers perform live and Borat makes an exclusive return. Armando Ianucci quizzes celebrities about the worst moments from Comic Relief over the years. Kate Thornton and Dawn French reveal all in Little Britain Live, and Chris Moyles and guests perform the last leg of his Rally-oke tour. 12.30 Mitchell and Webb perform a Comic Relief version of The Lady In Red. Marc Wootton and Aardman Animations provide a comedy treat. A Little Britain Live sketch with Peter Kay, David Baddiel and Jeremy Edwards, and Tim Westwood appears in a special Pimp My Ride. 1.30 Simon Pegg and Nick Frost introduce the best from past Comic Relief shows.
