Elementary "Fit To Be Tight" Review: Everything you don't expect
As "Fit To Be Tight" is only the first half of a two-part finale this will be a rather short review. You will get a detailed one next week but there is one point that I think is worth mentioning.

I think you remember how last week's episode ended. Sherlock went to Athena and told her that he had realised that she might be more than just a friend to him.
Besides the fact that the reactions to that scene on social media were either very positive stating that Sherlock deserved a bit of happiness and that Athena was a great person or extremely negative, a lot of people wrote that they believed Sherlock's prospective new girlfriend would be Michael's next victim.

I have to admit that, although I found it unlikely as it would definitely have meant the end of Sherlock's sobriety, I couldn't ...

Elementary "The Geek Interpreter" Review: Like Relativity and Quantum Mechanics
I am a Mathematics teacher and I know that a lot of people don't like that subject but I always did. Why? Because it is logical. When there is a problem you apply a formula to it and you solve it. Even if there is no exact solution you can still get close, narrow it down. It is safe. You know what the outcome will possibly be.

Harlan and Sherlock are both people who like things that are logical out of different reasons.

Harlan has problems interpreting social clues as he himself said. He is a brilliant mind but he has difficulties in understanding people's behaviour. Sherlock on the other hand has very fine antennae and often sees more than he wants to. Together with the exclusively negative experience in adolescence this makes it difficult for him to enter any relationship.
So both tend to rely on things ...

Season 13: Semi-Finals 1

Okay, semi-finals and stuff, let’s talk about them…

11: Front Pictures. I believe it was the great movie “The Dark Knight” that said the following: “You either get eliminated as a great act, or stay in the game long enough to see yourself get X’d.” It pains me to have to put this act of all acts dead last on my list, but I really don’t see who else it could be; Everyone else had at least something special to offer…These guys look like they have officially run out of ideas, at least in the unique mixing of onscreen graphics with live actors department…Last time we had a guy bouncing all over this haunted hotel with all these crazy 3D effects that I thought impossible before! Now it’s just…some guy floating through space…With some admittedly really nice graphics, I’ll give it ...Read more

Sadly, #savecolony Has Been Marked for Rendition.

An unofficial statement from Wes Tooke, Executive Producer of Colony, has led to the decision to suspend the #savecolony campaign. A copy of the statement from the campaign organisers is below:

"Fellow Outliers –

In an “unofficial statement” from Wes Tooke, Executive Producer of Colony tweeted that he sees no signs of Colony coming back. Wes also stated that it’s not a reflection of the efforts of the #savecolony campaign and that he doesn’t understand what happened.

We were planning on TWO tweet storms this week, one for our Outliers in Europe and Asia and one for the Outliers in North America. We were also going to have a watch party. The different “blocs” of the #savecolony campaign have agreed to cancel those events and instead just devote our energies to thank the cast, crew, writers, producers and directors for a wonderful show that gave us a look at ...

Season 13: Quarter-Finals 3

12: Joseph O’Brien. So we’re still putting on the “can’t get a girlfriend” act, huh? Are they really still expecting us to believe that NOBODY has at least SOME kind of attraction toward this guy, especially now that he’s singing these heartfelt (if incredibly generic and bland) original songs on a big reality gameshow? Whatever; He sings nice, and he can write songs…Whoop-de-freaking-doo! It still brought an otherwise energetic night to a sudden boring crawl…This was easily my least favorite singing act of the round (and apparently for the judges as well), and if he goes through over the really good variety acts, then there is officially no integrity left in our American voters…

11: Rob Lake. I’m sorry, but what was so exciting about this act that they had to line it up second-to-last!? Sure, he can do a bunch of different ...Read more

Elementary "The Visions of Norman P. Horowitz" Review - How Much Is Enough?
In case you wondered why Sherlock, a lover of classical music, has chosen "A Town Called Malice" by The Jam to practice his conducting, there is a simple explanation for that.
It has to do with the lyrics of the song. Together with the motive for the murders and the background story they deliver a very strong message.

This will probably be my shortest review but it will also be my most political one.

A few weeks ago a user on Twitter complaint to Elementary that the writers should stop using the show for their leftist propaganda. I guess the guy must be fuming now.
If you are the same opinion I advise you not to read on. It will only fuel your anger.
For me the depth of the story lines are one reason why I love the show.
