Constance has joined the cast to co-star in NBC's multicamera comedy pilot, The Man of Your Dreams, which centers on Larry, a womanizer who uses his expertise to help romantically challenged women. She will play Larry's sister Liza, a smart, hardworking divorcee who is raising her teen-aged daughter while running a wedding-planning business. (edit) Constance and Russ Lamoureux welcomed their baby girl, Colette Zoe Lamoureux, on January 5, 2008. Collette weighed 8 lbs. 10 oz. and was born at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, California. (edit) On December 20, 2007, Constance was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild award in the "Ensemble in a drama series" category for her performance on Boston Legal. (edit) Constance made an appearance at the 17th annual Environmental Media Awards (October 24, 2007), an event to honor the television shows, films and musicians who use their art to showcase eco issues. (edit) Constance was in the audience at the Petro Zillia ready-to-wear show at Mercedes-Benz LA Fashion Week Spring 2008: Runway (October 18, 2007).

Constance Zimmer: (when asked about her return as Dana Gordon to Entourage) Well, it's funny, because I haven't been able to tell anyone. But now I can. Yes, I am coming back this season. With a vengeance! I get the upper hand [with Ari], which is fantastic, because I haven't had it yet. (edit) Constance Zimmer: (discussing a woman for president) Well, maybe there would be a little more sensitivity in the world. Maybe some decisions would be made with a little bit more thought, because men don’t really think that hard. (edit) Constance Zimmer: (discussing her Entourage character) I was fired and banished in the last season finale because I told Ari some secret information. I was very excited when they said I was coming back. Dana Gordon is a blessing in disguise. She's a character that people just love, and that makes me so happy. (edit) Although David E. Kelley knew Constance from her audition for Boston Public, he didn't create the Claire Simms character with her in mind, so she has been able to bring her personal traits into the role.

Constance Zimmer: All I got was that this was a tough broad from New York, sarcastic and dry. I laugh about that all the time. Apparently, I'm really good at playing that, but I think I couldn't be farther from that in real life. Maybe because I'm not that, you can see her softer side come through. (edit) Constance Zimmer: (discussing her role as Claire Simms) I was very, very nervous because of the caliber of the actors and also because of David E. Kelley being the creator. The highest compliment people have given me is that I seem like I've been there from the start; you never want to look awkward among others who are so comfortable in what they do. (edit)
