1. Why Conviction failed.... | 09/24/2007 9:29pm

Conviction was a good show but I think it failed because people who loved the Law & Order series thought it was going to be another L&O type show, with Alex returning and Dick Wolf being a producer, but they saw that it was more character based, focusing on sexy young ADAs and their personal lives rather than completely on the cases so they tuned out after the pilot. And the people who aren't L&O fans thought it was going to be just another knock-off of it, so they never watched it.
It's too bad, Conviction reminded me of Grey's Anatomy except in the courtroom.

im gutted that conviction failed i dont even think they gave it a chance!!! i was soooo excited when i found out alex cabot was coming back i logged on here straight away to find out all the gossip.... but soon relised it had been axed 
so i think if they had given it a chance it would have gone far!!!! very upset

Yes, yes, I´m too late with this, but this show has just finished here and it sucks to know it was the last one - ever. A show with a season finale like this shouldn´t have been cancelled!
Does anyone know the actual reason for this?

Low ratings, it couldn't compete with CBS' "Numb3rs"
