When twentieth-century scientists Dr. C. and Mike thawed a mammoth they found frozen into a glacier, they didn't expect him to wake up. But Phil proved articulate, intelligent, and full of stories about his life in prehistoric Woolyville. Each episode begins with him being inspired by some event in his modern life to relate a tale from the past, featuring the adventures of Cro (a cro magnon boy adopted by neanderthals) and his mammoth friends. Every story revolves around some concept in physics that Cro discovered through trial and error and which is being applied Phil's new friends to their modern problems.
