When the kidnap victim calls Chelsea, the phone says No Sim Card inserted.
So no calls could have been made. (edit) The cellular phone where the distress call was received from the kidnapped woman did not have a SIM card inserted, therefore it could not receive calls (only make emergency calls). Even if the phone was fully operational the phone screen shows that the ringer was turned off (crossed musical note) so it could not have rung. (edit)

Delko calls Kelly Olive Oyl, referring to the wife of Popeye, who always spoke through teeth clenched around a pipe, because her boyfriend's jaw was wired shut and he would not have been able to speak clearly. (edit)
